As the UK continues to re-emerge from lockdown we attended our first Corporate event last month. Locke make 'Aparthotels', a new word for us, which are beautifully designed spaces you can stay in for one day or one year. Their annual Soulfest had a day-time theme of Sustainability and a night-time theme of Studio 54 (the infamous New York night club).
The Ugly Duck in the heart of Bermondsey Village was the venue. A former tannery and film studio it played host during the day to street food vans, unique experiences and talks ranging from mindfulness to diversity by Thy.Self and Dope Black Dads. Then in the evening it was transformed into a bar and nightclub.
We introduced Locke's lovely employees to the story of chocolate, the economics of a chocolate bar and then they made their own creations below:
