As we slowly settle in to our new home. To celebrate the summer evenings, we and our neighbours have decided to open our doors a little later to provide some entertainment.
Reedham Village Lates (#reedhamvillagelates) is a series of events hosted by ourselves and others on Old Lodge Lane, five minutes walk from Reedham Station.
On the final Thursday of every month, alongside Steven Robertson Art and Tenpin Records, we will be open late for local customers and those from further afield to peruse beautiful art, shuffle through fantastic vinyl and sample craft chocolates.
For this months #reedhamvillagelates; on Thursday 27 June, Cocoa Jones will be hosting Sam Bilton, Food Historian, presenter of the podcast Comfortable Hungry and author of a new book, The Philosophy of Chocolate.
We’ll be talking about the fascinating history of chocolate from its sacred role in South American culture to the multiple million pound global industry it is today. Along the way, we’ll be discussing whether chocolate’s reputation as an aphrodisiac is deserved and why anyone not working on a Sunday should raise a glass (and a half of milk) in thanks to Cadbury.
