What a busy month. Spring finally emerges in the UK and reminds us that there really is nowhere like London in the Sun.
Every year we try to hold some events to mark the bright and sunny evenings and this year is no exception. We now have a Book Club. The Paperback Society (great name!) held their inaugural meeting at the shop during the month. We will be hosting them every 3rd Friday of the month. Next Session, Friday, 15 May, 7 – 9pm; Book: The Persians by Sanam Mahloudji. Naz and I have just started it. First impressions; scabrously funny and a reminder, for me at least, to never to get on the wrong side of the female of the species.

During the month we also held our first corporate event of the year. The ‘Place to Be Café’ is a weekly social group for people living with dementia and their carers’ held at St Mark's Church, Purley. We were invited to spend an evening with the lovely volunteers, presenting our Chocolate Tasting and Bar Making Event. Lots of chocolate from around the world eaten. Nothing like chocolate and good company on a balmy evening.

Lot’s of birthday parties held during the month and several more in the diary. Happy Birthday to all those who passed through our doors and please get in touch if you would like us to host you and yours. There is no party like a chocolate party!
